Privacy Policy

01

Overview

Starroy ("we," "our," or "us") cares deeply about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use ScrapCam.

A lightweight camera app for capturing and managing temporary photos.

This policy applies to ScrapCam. If you use other Starroy products, please read the privacy policy for each product separately. This policy is not a guarantee of product functionality, third-party services, or any professional-advice outcome. Specific features depend on the app as actually provided and your settings.

02

Information We Collect

When you use ScrapCam, we may process temporary photos you capture, expiration settings, app settings, and local ScrapBox records. ScrapCam is designed to reduce temporary-photo clutter in the system photo library, and related content is primarily stored on your device.

The information we may process includes:

Information you provide: content you enter, choose, save, or configure in the product.

Information required for features: states, settings, records, or local data needed to provide product features.

Device and usage data: device model, system version, app version, usage status, and basic diagnostics.

Crash logs: technical logs generated when the app behaves unexpectedly, used to improve stability.

Purchase or subscription status: if the product offers paid features, we may process necessary authorization, purchase-restoration, or subscription-status information, but we do not receive full payment card numbers.

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information that is unrelated to the product features. Unless a feature clearly requires it and you authorize it, we do not ask you to provide highly sensitive information such as government ID numbers, precise addresses, health records, financial accounts, or information about minors.

Primary coverage: Camera permission, photo library permission, temporary photos, local storage, privacy lock or system authentication, Live Activities or widgets, and crash logs.

03

How We Use Information

We use relevant information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve product features.

• Save your settings, records, and preferences.

• Send reminders, notifications, or service messages that you request or enable.

• Troubleshoot issues, analyze crashes, and improve stability.

• Keep the service safe and prevent misuse or abnormal behavior.

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to this product.

04

Permissions and Local Features

ScrapCam needs camera access to capture temporary photos. If you choose to save or add photos to the system photo library, we request photo library permissions. The privacy lock may use system authentication; we do not access or store your biometric data.

05

Product-Specific Processing

ScrapCam is designed primarily around local temporary photo management. Unless you actively use sharing, saving, syncing, backup, or another feature that requires transfer, we do not actively upload your photos to provide the core capture and temporary-management features. Widgets, quick actions, and Live Activities may show recent counts, countdowns, or privacy-mode status. We aim to avoid exposing sensitive content externally and control what is shown based on your settings. Privacy lock and system authentication features help reduce accidental or casual access, but they do not replace device-level security, backup security, or your own management of photo content.

06

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Unless we separately explain it in the product and obtain any required consent, we do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

We may share necessary information in the following situations:

Service providers: trusted providers needed for crash analysis, basic cloud services, payment processing, or product operation.

App stores and payment platforms: to process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, purchase restoration, and fraud prevention.

Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, supervisory authority, or judicial process.

Business changes: in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or similar transaction.

We require third parties to process information only as necessary and to apply reasonable security measures. Third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies, so please also review the relevant third-party policies.

07

Information Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect relevant information, such as access controls, data minimization, and basic security safeguards.

However, no internet transmission, electronic storage, device system, third-party service, or local backup can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. You should also protect your device, account, system permissions, and local backups, and avoid storing sensitive content beyond what is necessary in the product.

08

Data Retention and Storage

We retain relevant information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or for the period required by applicable law.

Data stored locally on your device is usually managed by you. You may clear local data through in-app features, system settings, or by deleting the app. After you delete the app, delete local records, or withdraw permissions, some information already retained by app stores, system backups, third-party services, or legal-compliance requirements may not be deleted immediately or completely. Some diagnostic, transaction, or compliance records may be retained longer for security, audit, or legal reasons.

09

Cross-Region Processing

We may process or store necessary information outside your region, or use service providers located in other regions. When this occurs, we take reasonable protective measures as required by applicable law.

If your region has specific rules on cross-border data transfers, consumer privacy, or personal information processing, you may contact us using the contact information in this policy.

10

Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, close an account, or lodge a complaint.

To exercise these rights or ask questions about this policy, contact us at contact@starroy.com. We will handle your request within a reasonable timeframe.

11

Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed to children under 13, or under a higher age threshold required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will address it as soon as possible.

12

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes occur, we will notify you through a page update, in-app notice, or another reasonable method.

The dates at the top of this page show the latest update date and effective date for the current version.
